DIVE INTO MY PORTFOLIO

As an artist, there is no greater pleasure for me than finding genuine growth and improvement in my projects. As I have grown and matured, so has my art. Below are some of the pieces I have created in my studio.

PROJECT VIOLET

2014-2018

Project Violet began for me in May 2014. Sitting in Starbucks, in N. California, drinking my favorite cup of coffee, I found the Wall Street journal that someone had graciously left behind. I was intrigued by the title “Tumor Paint” and had to read the article. I was excited about what I read and as an artist interested in science wanted to work with science labs using their work as my inspiration. I found Project Violet on facebook and finally connected to Dr. Jim Olson through the help of Connor Wojdak. Receiving photos from the lab, I created over 20 pieces inspired by the slides. There are many heroes and heroines in this story, one of them being the Israeli death stalker scorpion who lives only in the Dead Sea. This scorpion, with its special qualities was the impetus for scientific research. My dream is to have a scientist look at my art and say "ah-ha" at the moment of solving a mystery.

DIGITAL ART

2000-2002 California

"In God We Trust" was one of the many digital art pieces that I created while on sabbatical in N.California. It was my response to 9/11 and was used as the cover to the magazine "The International Astrologer" 2002. More digital art on the following pages.

ART JERUSALEM

1996-2013

The Gazelle is one of the most graceful of all animals, unable to fend for itself when it is surrounded by wolves. As an endangered species in Jerusalem, I envisioned a park where water would flow and people could come to connect to  nature. Little did I know that what I painted  was the dream of conservationists.
